Municipality of Maribor continues to implement activities within the project TRIBUTE - "inTegRated and Innovative actions for sustainable Urban Mobility UpgradE". Within the first time period, from January 1 to June 30, 2021, the entire project consortium has been focused on identifying stakeholders in the project, in all the 8 partner cities (Milan, Ljubljana, Maribor, Zagreb, Patras, Novi Sad, Sarajevo, Podgorica).
Stakeholders involved in the project (including ministries, universities, NGOs involved in promoting sustainable mobility, ICT experts, associations for the elderly and disabled, etc.) will directly take part in the implementation of the "Living Lab" concept. All selected stakeholders signed a Memorandum of Understanding to formally guarantee their involvement in the project, expressing their intention to take part in a transnational stakeholder network. Finally, a database of key stakeholders of the TRIBUTE project was successfully created.
Stekeholders were identified on the basis of their active role in already established networks and activities related to the topic of the project in city and the region. Sectors included are interest groups (Association of Urban Municipalities of Slovenia) and NGOs (Slovenian coalition for public health, environment and tobacco control – SCTC, Maribor cycling Network, Business and Industry Zone Tezno), regional public authority (Regional development agency – Development Agency for the Podravje region), infrastructure and (public) service provider (Public utility company Marprom Ltd.), business support organisation (Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Štajerska), SME Incubator (Styrian Technology Park Ltd), higher education and research (Centre for smart cities and communities of University of Maribor) and sectoral agency or institution (Elderly home Danica Vogrinec). Additional stakeholders might be selected during the implementation of the project.
In order to agree on the next steps and analyze the implemented activities, the 2nd coordination meeting of the TRIBUTE Project Steering Committee will be organized on July 22. The meeting is scheduled to take place in Maribor.
